About Me

Growing up on a farm in the rural countryside of southern Delaware, I developed a passion for things all natural. When you live on a farm, you learn to appreciate what the land can provide. My love of pure, natural and beautiful products translated into many aspects of my life . . . food, fabrics, home design, cleaners and even beauty products. One year, I had an abundance of herbs and wondered how I could utilize them. Already in love with natural soaps, this abundance spurred me to use my creativity and try my hand at soapmaking. I found that I enjoyed combining the scientific with the artistic to create these natural, beautiful, handmade soaps. . . soaps that longed to be shared with others. Love, Byrd. Soaps transform an everyday routine into a luxurious escape and indulgence.

Utilizing only natural and pure ingredients, Love, Byrd. Soaps are handcrafted with love, in small batches. From creation to curing, cutting to packaging, love abounds in this six-week process. Soy and preservative free, only the finest vegan oils, essential oils, botanicals, grains, exfoliates, and clays, are used, bathing your body only in natural ingredients. Each bar is purposely created to complement both the handcrafted essential oil blend and artisan design. Artistry that will stimulate your senses, awaken fond memories and soothe your body & soul.

Knowing the importance of names, it was only fitting to choose one honoring my product and my father, Lorenzo Byrd Whaley. A woman blessed to have a father’s unconditional love her whole life is gifted with a strong foundation. Dad was a steadfast and loving inspiration to his family and all those with whom he came in contact; he was a constant source of wisdom, support and unconditional love. Instrumental in shaping me into the woman I am today, the name is a tribute to him. If you look closely at the labels, the background is part of his love letter to my mother, Joan, with the salutation, “Love, Byrd.” These soaps are my love letter to you.
